Absolutely not. In fact, The Food Bank Singapore helps these charities obtain better access to excess food. We complement, instead of compete with their current efforts.

Due to our founders' network and experience in the food industry, The Food Bank Singapore provides insight and better access to obtaining sources of excess food. With our logistics team supporting the operations, collections and distributions are more efficient.
What if there is more food donated than required in Singapore?
We have plans to share excess donation with neighbouring countries who may have greater food need than us.
In order to make better use of food collected close to expiry, does The Food Bank Singapore intend to set up a soup kitchen?
There are plans to do so in the future when space and monetary commitments permit. This will most definitely further reduce food wastage.
Where are the food donations going to?
The Food Bank Singapore works with more than 130 member beneficiaries to distribute food items to people in need. Click here to find out who our member beneficiaries are.
Do we reach out to people in need directly?
