Group Volunteer

The Food Bank Singapore works with corporations to organise fun and meaningful corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects that are mutually beneficial.

We have a couple of activities that your team can be involved in:

1. Food Drive

  • Conduct a mini food drive at your office/s or premises

  • We accept all types of non-perishable food items that are at least 1 week before expiry from the date we receive it.

  • We can arrange to collect the donated food items from you after the food drive.

  • Your team can also head over to our warehouse to help sort, pack, and take down the inventory details for the items collected.

  • Refer to http://www.foodbank.sg/index.php/get-involved/donate/food/food-drive for more details.

2. Food Bundles packing and distribution

  • If you have the budget, you may consider purchasing some Food Bundles for packing and distribution.

  • If your team do not want to participate in the distribution process, they can help in packing the food items into bundles at our warehouse. We will arrange to have them distributed to our beneficiary centres on another day with other volunteers.

  • If you would like to do a bundle packing and door-to-door distribution, we can connect your team with one of our beneficiary centres to pack and distribute the food bundles to the needy families at the centre’s location.

  • Estimated duration for the activity: 3 hrs.

  • Minimum 50 food bundles

  • A good ratio would be 1 volunteer : 5 bundles

  • Refer to http://foodbank.sg/index.php/programmes-events/programmes/joy-in-every-bundle for more details.

3. Volunteering at our warehouse

  • Spend a few hours at our warehouse to help us out with inventory taking, sorting and packing food donations that we received.

  • There are 2 volunteering slots per weekday: Morning (10am to 1pm) and Afternoon (2pm to 5pm)

  • There is 1 volunteering slot every Saturday: Morning (10am to 1pm)

  • We can only accommodate up to 20 volunteers per session.

4. Adopt a Bank Box
