Food Insecurity is the state of being unable to afford sufficient quantity of affordable or nutritious food.

With no poverty line and minimum wage in Singapore, it can be challenging to measure and identify people who struggle to make ends meet and require the most basic needs like food and shelter.
Overview of The Hunger Report
Ranked first in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit as the most food-secure nation on the Global Food Security Index in 2019, it may come as a surprise to many that even in an affluent country such as Singapore, food insecurity is still a concern. In 2018, FBSG collaborated with Lien Centre for Social Innovation to publish the Hunger Report – the first ever nationally representative study on food insecurity in Singapore.
