Our Beneficiary Partners

The Food Bank Singapore rescues and procures close to 700,000 kilograms of food annually, distributing it to our extensive network of beneficiary partners. We work closely with these beneficiary partners, relying on them to identify end beneficiaries, so that we carry out our mission effectively.

The food support that we provide is crucial for supporting various food relief efforts, including community pantries, emergency food ration deliveries, and daily meal programmes.

We proudly serve diverse beneficiary partners, which include:

  • Active Aging Centres (AACs)
  • Charities and community services establishments
  • Various types of Homes
  • Soup Kitchens
  • Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs)
  • Schools with Children from lower-income families

Through our Food Support Programme, we ensure that surplus food reaches those who need it most, reducing food waste and providing essential nourishment to our communities.

NB: While we channel food surpluses and donations to communities, we also procure, as needed, when needs exceed the food that we can collect. We also procure food items for our “Joy in Every Bundle” programme, which involves direct distribution of food rations to communities via collaboration with our beneficiary partners.

“The Food Bank has supplied much needed food resources to allow us to give out food bundles to approximately 350-400 migrant workers weekly through 2026. This helps relieve financial pressures and gives them variety in their diet. We are very thankful for the food we receive from Food Bank.”

“As a residential care home, our food costs are substantial because we must consistently provide nutritious meals every day. We offer three main meals along with a tea break, ensuring that our residents have long-term, reliable access to healthy food. The support we receive from The Food Bank Singapore has significantly helped us manage our expenses. This assistance reduces financial pressure, allowing us to redirect funds toward the care and well-being of our beneficiaries. Some of the food support we receive includes items like coffee and Milo powder, which are familiar and well-liked beverages that provide energy, comfort, and a mood boost. Additionally, the donation of individually packaged 3-in-1 sachets (containing coffee powder and chocolate/malt powder) allows residents to easily and independently prepare their own comforting hot drinks. This promotes a sense of independence, autonomy, and control over their daily routines, which is essential for maintaining mental well-being and dignity. Overall, this support not only helps us reduce our costs but also ensures that we maintain a reliable supply of high-protein foods and essential ingredients to meet our residents' daily nutritional needs and health goals.”
St John’s Home for Elderly Persons
“The support from The Food Bank Singapore has helped many families we work with, especially vulnerable mothers, including those with unplanned pregnancies, their children and families. Having access to food eases financial pressure, improves their mental health, and lets them focus on other needs like healthcare, education, and childcare. It also allows our team to spend more time supporting these families emotionally and through programmes that help both mothers and children. This partnership helps build stronger, more resilient families and gives them hope during challenging times. We are truly grateful for the positive impact this support brings to the community.”

The donations help to supplement our kitchen supplies, allowing us to provide a greater variety of food items for our residents. This support also helps to reduce some of the financial pressure on our food budget, enabling the organization to redirect resources to other important areas such as resident care, equipment, and programmes that improve the quality of life for our residents.”
