Advocacy

At The Food Bank Singapore, we are dedicated to advocating the issue of food insecurity and food waste in Singapore. Through our diverse and comprehensive network in educational institutions, corporates, etc, we actively raise awareness about the paradox between hunger and food waste and empower our audiences with key action plans that can make a difference.

We invite you to book a Food Bank informational session for your workplace or educational institution or host a Food Bank booth at your upcoming event to join us in spreading the word and start igniting change.

Our informative talks delve into crucial topics including food insecurity, food wastage, a food bank’s contribution to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)   our food programmes, and how the audience can be part of the solution. Along the way, you can discover rewarding volunteering opportunities with us!

Research

The Food Bank Singapore uses research as an advocacy tool by partnering with academics to produce evidence on food insecurity in Singapore. Through studies such as our Hunger Report series, we highlight the scale of the issue, the profiles of affected households, and the gaps in existing support systems, then used those findings to raise awareness, shape public conversations, and encourage more targeted action from companies, institutions, and the wider community.

You can support The Food Bank Singapore in many ways: by donating food, contributing funds, or volunteering your time.
